USA 2024! Here we go- I’m Miss Nicholasville USA, which is wild given I never thought I’d grace the stage again as a contestant in the Miss USA organization. My Mamaw loved watching me compete and watching the Miss USA/Miss Universe pageant was one of our favorite things to do together so when Miss USA removed its age rule (which I think is amazing because we don’t stop having value after 28) my heart told me now is my time and I fully intend to put it all out there and do so in her honor. Looking back and seeing how I’ve continued to grow and change as an individual makes me smile. Since I last competed, I completed my Masters degree, placed physicians in rural and underserved communities,spoke at the state capital on Rare Disease Awareness Day ,raised money for NORD, and am a councilwoman for the Rare Disease Advisory Council that I assisted building. I established May 4th as National Heterotaxy Awareness Day in my states, and I started creating and sharing my cosplay journey which has allowed me to embrace my creative side, make new friends, attend red carpet events. Life is such a journey and I’m so humbled and grateful. I’m truly proud, honored, and excited to share this piece of me with you all and your support has meant the world! Wish me luck!
